Future of Energy Initiative

The Future of Energy initiative is creating a university-wide framework for connecting scholars who work on energy related issues. The initiative's efforts are spearheaded by the Harvard University Center for the Environment, in partnership with Energy Policy Research Programs at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Harvard University Center for the Environment Faculty Seed Grants

The Harvard University Center for the Environment awards faculty seed grants to support preliminary explorations of environmental issues that show promise for further scholarship. The awards are intended to seed the most exciting and innovative projects that could not be tackled without support from the Center.

Harvard University Center for the Environment Summer Undergraduate Research Fund

The Center for the Environment’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fund provides financial support for student research projects related to the environment. The Fund offers two types of research experiences for Harvard students: one for independent research, and one for faculty-directed research. Award amounts for independent research are usually between $500-$3,500.
